For the subject of French we offer a complete modern course in which the Macco Lingui app is central, supplemented with books and language cards. This school year, NSG Groenewoud was the first school to start, see also our previous one news item. After a very encouraging start at NSG Groenewoud, we are now making the course generally available! The learning materials are already available in our webshop and the books and language cards will also be available from well-known book suppliers. Moreover, with a soft total price from € 33.50 per student per school year for the complete package! Complete package from €33.50 per student per school year for schools with three years of French in the lower grades. In other cases on request.
The books and language cards are the same for VMBO, HAVO/VWO. Differentiation is done through, among other things, the app and language cards, the pace of presenting the material and the difference between active and passive learning.

The Macco Lingui app and the Lingui+ module
The Macco Lingui app is central to our method! You will find more general information on the page of the app, but below are some points specific to the course. You can easily get a good impression of the app by installing it and viewing the free demo version.
- The app contains many digital exercises, where we attach great importance to practicing sentences. Students can earn medals by scoring well and the teacher can see the students' progress in the student tracking system of the Lingui+ module.
- The app also contains the material and exercises from the books. With the app everything can be listened to (voiced by native speakers) and the teacher can provide the answer model to the class for each assignment. Very pleasant for both teacher and student!
- The app is also the study guide: by following the app, the student knows in which order to go through the material in the app and the books.
- With the Lingui+ module, digital tests can be taken that are also automatically marked. The teacher can compose tests himself, but we also offer ready-made tests that can mainly be used for formative testing. We also provide tests on paper, which, for example, also focus on reading skills.
The books and the language cards
The books include language cards with a concise overview of the most important grammar. These language cards are referred to in various exercises so that the student slowly but surely becomes familiar with them. This approach fits well with the concept of our course in which the student is first presented with the material passively. The student uses the language cards when completing exercises in the book and in the app, but will also be allowed to use the language cards for a number of tests. By informing students that they can use the language cards during tests, they are also intrinsically motivated to work with them a lot.
